Mad Men Doing Wonderful Art.

Nobody thought the small cable network AMC would come up with anything as fantastic as ‘Mad Men’ but they did and now starting its fifth season in March its promotional posters have received a lot of media attention, the first being that it resembles ‘the falling man’ from 9/11. While subway posters in New York City have been guerrilla remixed.


 Needless to say the title sequence has heavy relied heavily on inspiration from the great Alfred Hitchcock.

Don Draper can be seen falling with links to Saul Bass’s title work from Veritgo(Links to the graphic posters)

While North by Northwest, with it’s iconic Manhattan skyline

 And with the music resembling that of Psycho.

 The use of a black silhouette even has links back to Alfred Hitchcock Presents…
